Growing up, I was no stranger to sports and the thrill of lifting weights. I remember the thrill of finally being old enough to get my own gym membership when I was thirteen. Lifting weights was a passion that simmered beneath the surface during my early years, and into my early twenties, it ignited into a lifelong commitment. Being no stranger to hard work before I fully embraced the world of fitness, I had a blue-collar background, spending over a decade in a sawmill, as well as years as a wildland firefighter before that.
For the last five years of my sawmill career, my heart was already set on a different path — the fitness industry. I began helping friends and family with diet and workout routines, seeing firsthand the transformative power of tailored fitness and nutrition plans. In early 2022, I decided to make the leap and moved to Utah, where I became a certified personal trainer.
As a certified personal trainer with a Pain-Free Performance certification, I've had the privilege of working with individuals of all shapes, sizes, ages, and skill levels. My training philosophy is rooted in the belief that no two people are the same, and neither should their fitness approach be. While I have a passion for bodybuilding, I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Form always takes precedence over weight. I emphasize mobility work, stretching, and activation techniques to ensure that the body moves correctly and safely.
While I don't specialize in a single area, I've achieved success with weight loss clients, but being a competitor myself my heart is in bodybuilding. I thrive on creating hypertrophy-based meal plans and workout routines that bring about tangible results. If I ever feel uncertain about helping a client, I'll be transparent about it.
My methodology involves thorough initial consultations, gathering as much data as possible to create personalized plans. Weekly check-ins ensure that we're on the right track. I encourage clients to track their progress and provide training videos for assessment and guidance.
